A moment in love
yesterday our lovemaking was beautiful
and for a moment I felt love
I felt all of it’s beauty
As it embraced me and filled a void
holding me, grasping my whole self in it’s essence
I felt love
I felt loved
And I relinquished myself to it
I released myself to its will
I truly let go and let love have its way
To do what it does
But as quickly as it came
It was soon gone
Only to leave me empty
Without love again
Alone again
A moment in love
And since then
I’ve been trying to capture
Love
Hopeful it will last longer
For the essence of love
Still lingers in the air
Out of my reach
A moment in love
